"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

Psalm 46:1

Ways to help:

The flooding and landslides have devastated the lives and livelihoods of many in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and other parts of B.C. If you have been evacuated from your home, or if these events have significantly impacted you and your family, please let the church office know so we can help however possible.

We also want to make you aware of three ways we as the church can help our city:

Physical

First, we can help physically. If you're willing to get your hands dirty, Northview has partnered with Samaritan's Purse to help with cleanup in Abbotsford. Click here to sign up or to donate.

Other organizations who could use extra financial support as they help flood victims are Cyrus Center, Mennonite Disaster Service, the Food Bank, and the Salvation Army.

Emotional

Second, we can help emotionally. If you or someone you know would like to speak and/or pray with a pastor about all that is going on in our city, or anything else that may be causing grief or stress, we are available. We also can point people to good Christian counsellors. Please call us at 604-864-0030, or email us at office@kingroad.ca.

Prayer

Third, we can pray. We will be praying for the flood victims, for the Lord to hold back the waters, and other prayer requests that come in. Psalm 46:1 reads, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Let us lift up our city and our neighbours to Him at this time.
