Position: Part-Time (22+ hrs/week)
Start date: Early 2024

King Road Church is in search of a Director/Pastor of Worship. The successful candidate will have experience in leading mid-large size congregations to worship the Lord Jesus Christ through song, prayers, and corporate scripture readings.

 

King Road is a multicultural church that has services in 4 different languages. While this role will only lead the English services, it will also require a pastoral connection with the other language worship teams, as outlined below.

 

The title of director or pastor will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, maturity, and experience. Full-time hours are possible if the candidate is discerned to have the ability and gifting to take on other
ministry portfolios.

Duties will include:
  • Leading King Road’s worship services in song, prayers, and scripture readings.

  • Working closely with the Lead Pastor to develop Sunday morning services.

  • Developing and scheduling worship teams.

  • Developing a King Road song library for worship that fits with our theological
    convictions.

  • Work with the pastoral team to increase prayer in our worship services.

  • Training younger musicians to lead through the elements of worship.

  • Developing relationships with, encouraging, and being a worship resource to King Road’s multicultural worship leaders.

  • Teaching a robust theology of worship through occasional classes and meetings.

  • Attending the weekly pastor and staff meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.

Requirements:
  • A life exemplified by the qualifications of an elder (1 Timothy 3:1-7).

  • Post-secondary education that fits the role of a worship pastor.

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a worship leader in a church context.

  • An ability to articulate the gospel clearly and effectively.

  • A commitment to being a team-player.

  • Proven track record of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism.

  • Affirms the MB Confession of Faith.

Salary commensurate to training and experience.
This Position will report directly to the Lead Pastor.
