

Position: Part-Time (10-15 hrs/week)

King Road Church is looking for a bookkeeper who has strong attention to detail, enjoys working with numbers, and has a heart for team-oriented church ministry. The bookkeeper is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports in regard to General Ledger, A/P, A/R, tax items, and monthly/year-end procedures. The successful applicant will provide financial support to the Finance Committee through bookkeeping, banking, and reporting services.

This is a part-time position that is covering a 1 year maternity leave. Weekly schedule is open for negotiation. We anticipate approximately 10-15 hours per
week.
Duties will include:

Payroll: simply requires journal entries as payroll services are contracted out.

Accounts payable (posting invoices, cheques, online payments)

Receipt reimbursement for staff and volunteers

Monthly, quarterly, and annual donation reports

Financial data management, including T3010, T4a, and T5007 completion

Maintain files and recording systems

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum 1 – 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or related job

Experience in bookkeeping for non-profit organizations an asset

An education in Bookkeeping or Accounting is preferred for this position.

Knowledge of Excel and other Office applications

Strong attention to detail

Wage range $20-$25/hr based on training and experience.
This Position will report directly to the Front Office Manager.
